Editorial Policy and Author Standards

AIOPLY is produced by a small pricing desk that tracks what large language model APIs actually cost to run in production. Every article on this site is written, checked and signed off by a named person on that desk before it is published.

• AIOPLY Pricing Desk - the byline used for recurring price tracking and model release coverage. Work is researched against live provider price lists and the same dataset that powers our pricing database and calculators.
• Editorial review - a second reader checks every number, unit and currency in a draft against the provider source before the post goes live. Anything we cannot verify is removed rather than estimated.

Every price on AIOPLY starts from a primary source, in this order.

1. The provider's own public pricing page or API documentation.
2. The provider's changelog, release notes or official announcement post.
3. Aggregated model catalogues, used only to detect that something changed, never as the final figure quoted on the site.

Prices are normalised to cost per one million tokens so that models can be compared like for like. Where a provider bills in a different unit, such as per request, per image or per audio second, we say so in the article rather than forcing it into a token figure.

We use software to watch for price changes and new model launches, and we use AI assistance to draft first passes of routine price reports from a verified data snapshot. That is where the automation stops.

• No article is published without a human editing and approving it.
• Numbers in a draft are re-checked against the provider source by a person, not by the model that wrote the draft.
• Analysis, recommendations and any judgement about whether a model is worth its price are written by our team from hands-on use, not generated.
• We do not publish AI generated content as if it were independent reporting.

API pricing moves. Each article carries a publication date and a last updated date, and we revise posts in place when a provider changes a rate rather than quietly deleting the old figure.

If you find a wrong number, email hello@aioply.com with the page and the provider source. We aim to verify within two working days, correct the article and note the change in the updated date. Material corrections are described in the article itself.

AIOPLY is independent. No provider pays for coverage, placement, a rating or a position in our comparison tools. Rankings come from the same public price data we publish.

The site is funded by advertising and, in future, optional paid features. Advertising is clearly separated from editorial content, advertisers have no input into what we write, and no advertiser sees an article before it is published. Any affiliate or sponsored relationship, should one begin, will be disclosed at the top of the page it affects. See our disclaimer and privacy policy for the full detail.

• Prices we cannot trace to a provider source.
• Benchmark claims copied from marketing material without attribution.
• Content written purely to rank, with no answer for the reader at the top of it.
• Scraped, spun or duplicated articles from other publishers.

If an article no longer meets these standards, we rewrite it or take it down instead of leaving it online for search traffic.
